"Tell The FTC Your Opinion on CAN-Spam"
Successfully getting your business going and marketing
it
on the Internet can be difficult. To develop the best
marketing strategy for your business you will have to
test
and go through a certain amount of trial and error.
You can, however, significantly improve your chances of
success by learning from others. Gathering information
from experts who have already found techniques which
work and don't work is invaluable. Plus examining the
effectiveness of ideas currently being used in the
marketplace allows you to gain from others' brainchilds
or foul ups.
You'll find the articles enclosed below are interviews
with
2 successful, experienced Internet marketers. The
information
these marketers share is extremely valuable. Therefore,
my
advice today is to read these interviews carefully and
then
read them again.
You'll find an enormous amount of knowledge you can
truly
use to improve your business' marketing immediately.
In addition, I want to alert you that the Federal Trade
Commission is now looking for feedback about the
CAN-Spam
law. They have posted a comment form with a series of
questions on how the government should define spam.
The FTC comment form covers serious issues which will
affect
all Internet marketers. For instance, could forwarding a
message to a friend be considered spam? Who would be
liable
for the spam, the forwarder or the business in the
email?
I would like to encourage you to take a minute and
complete
the FTC questionnaire. You can access the feedback form
by
going to the Regulations.gov Web site -
http://www.regulations.gov .
Once on the site do a keyword search for CAN-Spam.
You'll
be directed to a page with additional information on
CAN-
Spam and the link to "Submit a Comment on this
Regulation".
So go voice your opinion with the FTC today to protect
your
permission email marketing options.
